The mission of the PTO is to work with staff and parents to improve the academic environment of Buckeye Trail Elementary and Middle School by supporting and participating in the activities at the school.
Current: Playpod for Kindergarten, 1st, & 2nd graders on the front playground. Field trips for Kindergarten -7th graders.
Last year – Purchased MIMIO boards & helped pay for installation.
Each year, we sponsor many events & activities for the staff, students, & parents.
They include: Red Ribbon Week, Bullying Prevention, Fall Carnival, Santa Shop, Book Fair, and Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week. Last year we brought in inflatables and had sno-cones & cotton candy for the students to celebrate the end of the school year. We hope to be able to do that again every year!
We have 2 major fundraisers each school year involving students. One in the fall and another in the spring. Students DO NOT have to participate in the fundraisers, but the more students participating, the more money the PTO has to help the school.
The PTO sponsors field trips for Kindergarten through 7th grade students. We pay $3.00 per student plus bussing expenses. The destinations and chaperones are decided by the teachers.
