Phone Outage Update

Windstream has resolved the phone service issues and service has been restored. If you experience any issues calling into the building please let us know.

As of 1:30pm, 3/19/19, inbound and outbound calling is still not working on our phone system. The last update we received from Windstream (11:25am) states the following:

| This is Windstream Repair. Your service is impacted by an outage due to a card failure back in the Windstream Network. A Replacement card is enroute and should be delivered at 3pm local time today and once installed, we expect all services affected to fully restore. The issue was due to a faulty piece of equipment at one of their hubs and it affected all local DATA voice lines. As stated they expect the issue to be resolved shortly after 3pm. I will update everyone once we know that the phones are properly working again.

New Interactive Lunch Menus
We are proud to announce our new interactive lunch menus! This year parents can go to our Nutrislice page to view our online menus. Once there select your childs school and breakfast or lunch to view the menu. By clicking on the menu item you can now view nutritional facts like carbs, calories, etc. You can also filter lunch items based on food allergies.

Students participate in Leadership Guernsey
East Guernsey Local Superintendent, Board Member and students represented East Guernsey Local Schools at the Chamber of Commerce Education Day at Leadership Guernsey on April 6. These Warrior students provided a short video as well as presentation to the group about the successes they have witnessed and been a part of as students at Buckeye Trail High School. The Superintendent and board member participated in panels answering numerous questions about the school district.
Congratulations to Alli McVicker, Kayleen Puskarich, Cassidy Dobbins, Mathew Stimpert and Kirkland Davis.
New Scheduling System
We are excited to announce FMX (Facilities Management eXpress) for our new scheduling & facility use system. We will use FMX to schedule everything from school events such as dances and concerts to athletic games and practices. We are pleased to now offer a snack item for purchase “A la`
Carte”
We will feature one item a day ranging from
$0.50 to $1.50
Extras are not allowed to be “charged” but can be purchased
with cash or through students’ lunch account.
We will be introducing some beverages for purchase at lunch
time. Switch is a 100% juice that we will have in a variety of
flavors and possibly Capri-Sun drinks as well.

Phone Notification Parent Portal
Parents,
We now have a Parent Portal for our new Phone Notification system. This will allow you to add phone numbers and email addresses to your account. These can be grandparents, babysitters, etc. To register click here (link is also found on the Parent & Student page). Use your primary phone number you listed when filling out paperwork at the beginning of the year, and select a password. Then simply add the numbers/emails and click ok.
