Buckeye Trail Elementary kicked off Red Ribbon Week today. Students were encouraged to wear red today to show they are proud to be drug-free. Red Ribbon Week is the largest and oldest drug abuse prevention program in the country. BTES will continue celebrating this week with scavenger hunts, decorating contests, and more.

The remaining theme days are as follows:

Tuesday – “Peace out to drugs!”, wear tie-die and peace signs
Wednesday – “Team up against drugs”, wear your favorite team shirt
Thursday – “Lei off drugs!”, dress in Hawaiaan attire
Friday – “Drugs are scary!!!”, Wear your halloween costume
