Z-Passes are Required for Students Riding Buses
All students who ride the bus need to have a Z-Pass and are required to use/swipe it every time they board the bus. The Transportation Department tracks this data for the following purposes: daily ridership, determination of route efficiency, and in the event of an emergency, to know which students were present on the bus. There is also a Z-Pass Plus program. With this program, parents can register a phone number to be contacted when their student boards or exits the bus. This technology capability can also be used by parents who have students on field trips or athletic trips to inform them when the bus is leaving the event. Parents can use this information to determine the time it takes for the bus to return to the school, therefore providing efficiency in parents picking up their child in a timely manner at the school after the event bus returns. Thank you for your cooperation in using Z-Pass!
